2020/21 Registration Information
Hello Wolverines Families,

We wanted to reach out and let you know there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to get our program up and running for the 2020-2021 season.  Please know the return to hockey framework is ever changing with the best interest of the players in mind.  We are all very excited to see everyone back at the rink and have the girls doing what they love to do so much.

As an executive (based on current registration numbers) we have decided that the Keene Wolverines will run their own Inter-House league for the 2020/21 season . We feel this is the best option as we are limited to playing teams within our own Health Unit.  When exploring these options with other centres one has opted to also do their own Inter House league, while the other may have teams but not enough to cover all our divisions.

Our plan:

Players will practice once per week with their respective "team" – U11 (formerly Atom), U13 (formerly Peewee), U15 (formerly Bantam) & U18 (formerly Midget).

Games/House league - We plan to combine U11/U13 (3 or 4 teams) and U15/U18 (4 teams) to create 2 House league groups. Each team will be made up of 8-12 players depending on numbers. We are limited to a group of 50 that can play amongst one another.

We are looking at doing a 5 game mini-series of teams, then teams will be switched up after each series to create a new team and a new series. We feel this will keep it fun and enjoyable for the girls. Games will be once a week.

We are committed to giving players 2 ice times a week - a practice and game and some weeks there could be an additional ice time that will rotate through teams.

Based on this structure 2020/2021 Registration Rates will be $650.00

Registration Deposit of $200.00 is due by September 30th.

Payment can be made via etransfer to Rick Hineman at [email protected]

Please include your players name and division in the comments and use password wolverines

There are still spots available in both of the divisions and should the registration numbers increase - registration fees could be lowered.

Atom/Peewee - 12 spots still available

Bantam / Midget - 4 spots still available

Please note: $60 of your deposit is non refundable if your player participates in any OWHA sanctioned activities.  This includes both on and off the ice.  If we do have a second wave of Covid 19 and return to a lockdown situation where the arena ceases operations, as long as no activities have taken place the $200 will be refunded.  If activities have taken place your refund will be less the OWHA insurance of $60 and amounts used to cover ice time that have been used.

Currently Otonabee South Monaghan have placed facility restrictions and will not be allowing any spectators.  We will keep you posted if this detail changes.

The dressing rooms will be closed for now.

Players will be required to arrive fully dressed and no earlier than 10 minutes before their start time. We are confirming whether seats/benches will be provided for tying skates - if not you should invest in a pair of skate guards for your player.

Players are to provide their own water bottle and please ensure name is clearly marked.

Our priority is being placed on the health and safety of our players, coaches, team staff and volunteers and thus the program will be based within our Public Health Unit.

Thanks for your understanding and patience as we all grow through this process, there is a lot of work that needs to be completed in order to get everything up and running smoothly.
